Events Planning

The Events committee is responsible for planning, hosting, and publicizing Law Society events, as well as working with other organizations to co-host events related to law. As part of its outreach, the committee also works to strengthen relationships with faculty, staff, alumni and community members, increasing outreach and involvement, and maintaining the visibility of the Society.

Members and Responsibilities (2017-2018)

Chair: Events Director (Peter Tianlun Zhang ’18)

Events Coordinators (2 Positions Open) -assists the Events Director with planning and organizing Law Society events. This may include reaching out to alumni or members of the community in the legal field, coordinating logistics (i.e. email communication and reserving rooms), working with the Treasurer and Fundraising Committee to procure funding, and working with the publicity coordinators for outreach purposes.
Publicity Coordinator (1 Position Open) -assists the Events Director with campus and community outreach/publicizing Law Society events. This may include designing flyers, posting flyers up around campus, tabling at various events, and helping the web coordinator with online publicity, including the Williams calendar, Daily Messages, and social media.
Web Coordinator (1 Position Open) – updates the Law Society website on a regular basis. Also works with the publicity coordinator to publicize events through social media.
